Your Chance to Fight Against Ronda Rousey’s Graphic Novel Character

AWA got a chance to play with Viggle to animate fight scenes from Ronda Rousey’s upcoming graphic novel EXPECTING THE UNEXPECTED. Using Mike Deodato’s phenomenal original art and Viggle’s motion capture technology, lead character MOM can now dynamically throw punches and fight against an opponent.

By bringing these scenes to life, we can bring one lucky fan into MOM’s world.

How Does Viggle Work? All art is created by Mike Deodato and none of it has been altered in the animated sequences. Viggle’s technology eases the process of mapping 2D images onto moving 3D characters. By utilizing this tool, AWA pairs Deodato’s art with footage that Ronda choreographed specifically for EXPECTING THE UNEXPECTED. As a result, action-packed animated sequences are made with art directly from the book. The winning fan, however, will look like themselves (not Deodato’s style) while fighting Deodato’s creation of Ronda’s character, MOM. Fans are given the opportunity to wake up inside of Deodato’s artistic creation from this book.

Our first video lets fans enter a contest by commenting the name of the book’s artist on our social media platforms. After one fan is randomly selected, AWA will release the anticipated fight sequence featuring the winning fan.
